Damiani, an Italian leader in fine jewelry, pays tribute to Alessandro Mendini with an exclusive exhibition held in its new boutique during Milan Design Week 2025 (April 8-13). “MENDINI per VENINI” presents a selection of works from the historical archive of Venini, the glassworks that has been part of the Damiani Group since 1921.

The collaboration between Mendini, a visionary architect and designer, and Venini marked a turning point, uniting the Murano glassmaking tradition with contemporary design innovation from 1987 to 2019.

The exhibition juxtaposes Mendini’s glass creations with Damiani jewelry, creating a dialogue between art and craftsmanship. Drawings by the architect, selected in collaboration with the Alessandro Mendini Archive, are also on display.

Among the pieces on display: the Berito collection (1988), vases in blown glass with the lattimo technique; the Acco and Idalion collections (1990), with classic shapes decorated with glass threads; Grande Brindisi (2000) and Grande Alzata (2022), macro-cups with triangular murrines; Soldato di Vetro (2001), an opaline blown glass sculpture with gold earrings; Giotto (2005), a face in blown glass with multicolored wings; and Il Cavallino di Venini (2007), a sculpture of a stylized horse created with master glassmaker Pino Signoretto. The exhibition is a unique opportunity to admire rare and significant works from Mendini’s production for Venini.
