To preserve the privacy of the location and the anonymity of its guests, the address of the new Palazzo Cristo-San Marco remains confidential until final booking confirmation. Care and meticulous attention are the essential values Anna Covre and Frederic Tubau de Cristo embraced in the renovation and restoration of this ancient Venetian palace, rumored to have housed Gioachino Rossini.
The couple, both designers and the building’s owners, have turned it into a hospitality jewel after seven years of construction. This architectural masterpiece now offers a genuinely elegant living experience in the lagoon.

The six suite apartments, which can be combined for more space, two garden-level rooms, and a duplex with a loggia and panoramic terrace on the top floor, celebrate refined luxury without extravagance. Supported by the Venice Academy of Fine Arts, the duo blends historical heritage with modernity, harmoniously merging Venetian influences with contemporary trends. Great attention has been paid to light filtering, soundproofing, privacy, and the high quality of details, including even the bedding. Local artisans played a crucial role in crafting custom furnishings, combined with art editions and natural materials such as wood, stone, marble, and metal.

Local weavers, alongside exceptional editors like Rubelli, provided fabrics with a color palette inspired by the Serenissima, featuring tones of stone and white marble, shades of oxidized copper green, antique blush pink, and terracotta. Tables, stools, canopies, bed ends—every element is a designer creation.
Items like the Macaron poufs scattered throughout the palace or the Pyramide lamps in brushed pine and natural linen on the tables stand out. Anna and Frédéric designed each lighting fixture, utilizing Murano’s ancient glass craftsmanship, such as the wall sconces made by the last artisan ‘guardian’ of a specific technique.

This personalized attention is best exemplified in the incredible duplex overlooking Venice’s rooftops. An impressive 250-square-meter suite with a loggia and rooftop terrace, it spans multiple levels and includes a private entrance and elevator, two comfortable double bedrooms, one featuring a master suite with an XXL dressing room and a bathroom with a freestanding tub and large shower.
Additionally, there is a bright living area with a coffered ceiling and an avant-garde 50-square-meter kitchen crafted from the attic, featuring exposed beams, fully equipped with a custom hood and a professional pink copper cooking station by Officine Gullo, specialists in luxury artisanal kitchens.
