Since 1925, Schiffini has been chronicling the evolution of the kitchen, following its changes and transforming it into an authentic expression of design and functionality. This year it celebrates its centenary, retracing the milestones of a journey that has made it an icon of made in Italy.

Founded in La Spezia as a small carpenter’s workshop specialising in naval furniture, Schiffini has been able to reinvent itself over time, becoming a benchmark for kitchen design and anticipating the concept of modularity. Its history is marked by prestigious collaborations that have contributed to defining an essential and timeless aesthetic, in which purity of form meets design rigour. Among the great names that have left their mark are Alfredo Häberli, Alfonso Arosio, Giuliano Giaroli, Jasper Morrison, Tito Agnoli, Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, Ugo Nespolo and Cozza & Mascheroni.

A fundamental chapter in its history is the collaboration with Vico Magistretti, whose creative genius gave life to revolutionary designs such as Cina, Solaro, Campiglia and the iconic Cinqueterre, a kitchen that marked an epoch thanks to its pioneering use of aluminium. Today, on the occasion of its centenary, Schiffini pays homage to this masterpiece with Omaggio alla Cinqueterre by Vico Magistretti, introducing a new material dimension: marble. As a tribute to its Ligurian roots, alongside the original finish, the collection offers Portoro, a natural stone extracted from the picturesque Gulf of Poets.

In 2023, the brand became part of the SCIC group, keeping its identity and prestige intact. Today, under the creative direction of architect Marco Costanzi, Schiffini continues to innovate, promoting a vision of design that combines aesthetics, functionality and sustainability.
