Light, between history and technology

Linea Light Group has opened its first flagship store in Milan, where the technological soul of the parent company blends with the poetry and color of Stilnovo

Design lovers are used to it now: furniture showroom openings in and around Milan are a regular occurrence, and the city is increasingly becoming an indispensable showcase for the sector. The most recent arrival, in chronological order, is that of Linea Light Group, a Veneto-based company that has made research, technology and support its strengths, especially in the contract and project world, and that, with the acquisition of Stilnovo in 2019, has entered the residential and decorative market through the front door.

Three storefronts in via Boccaccio 15 (in addition to a spacious basement where the system hub is located and a mezzanine dedicated to offices), a space designed by architect Giuseppe Tortato, who has managed to harmoniously mix the rigorous and technical soul of the company with the need (and also the desire) to immediately wink at the end user, who will not remain indifferent to the historical shapes (80 candles are approaching) and the colorful and vintage roundness of Stilnovo.

The theme of the interior is the meeting between the white that dominates the environment, the elements that gently break the continuity of the architecture (two sculptural staircases and a sudden red metal table) and the shapes and colors of the luminaires. Giuseppe Tortato knows the company well, having chosen it years ago to supply the lighting fixtures for his projects and having found a partner, as he revealed to IFDM, ā€œwith a very attractive price/quality ratio and reassuring support both in the design phase and on siteā€.

Linea Light and Stilnovo’s flagship store thus offers a fluid path of discovery of the Group’s expertise, seamlessly combining technical and emotional light, cool but effective luminaires alongside unique pieces rich in history, spaces for designers and a coherent path for the end user.
