Twelve pavilions, 1,485 exhibiting companies (68% of which are foreign, from 55 countries) spread over 74,000 square meters of exhibition space, buyers expected from more than 130 countries: these are the figures for Marmomac 2024, the reference exhibition for the entire natural stone supply chain, from quarry to finished product, scheduled for September 24-27 at Veronafiere.
“With Marmomac, Veronafiere brings the entire Italian marble system into play,” says Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. “Thanks to the inbound project in collaboration with Confindustria Marmomacchine, ICE Agency, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we are hosting new top buyers, including contractors, importers, and architect designers from 44 countries this year. These high-level profiles add to the over 30,000 international professionals expected in Verona. The event’s international nature is also reflected in the diversity of delegations, with significant representation from the USA, India, Canada, China, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.”
“Now more than ever, we must maintain a strong presence in key markets for our flagship products,” adds Adolfo Rebughini, Director General of Veronafiere. “Internationalization is one of the pillars of our ONE Veronafiere 2024-2026 development plan. Marmomac is a reference brand for the entire Italian supply chain.”
The Verona Fair represents an important moment of confrontation for professionals in the sector, promoting the knowledge and use of natural stone. The fair is also a stage for exhibitions, workshops, conferences and debates aimed at exploring new languages related to the material stone.
The Plus Theater, located in Hall 10, is a space dedicated to the creative and technical aspects of stone working through the exhibition of works, installations and educational moments. These include courses organized by the Marmomac Academy, accredited by the professional associations of architects in Italy, the United Kingdom (RIBA) and the United States (AIA). Finally, among the educational events, Marmomac Meets Academies creates a link between the academic and business worlds, thanks to the presence of prototypes created by students from international universities and institutes.
Culture and business find a synthesis in Hall 1 with A Matter of Stone, curated by Elle Decor Italia and designed by architecture studio Calvi Brambilla. Here, projects by renowned architects and designers, realized by the most established companies, show the aesthetic potential and the use of natural stone. A series of talks with important figures such as Ron Arad and Henry Timi will complete the program.
