The outdoors is the new must-have in an interior design project. In a residential setting, it expands the domestic space with harmony and perspective, generating an “extra room” in perfect continuity with the indoors. In hospitality contexts, it multiplies the places for meeting, relaxing and socializing, offering profound experiences in contact with nature. Based on these principles, Ethimo has created increasingly comfortable, sustainable, versatile, technically innovative and structurally resistant collections over time, capable of satisfying every need of outdoor living. And at a time when the en plein air dimension has become fundamental to improving the quality of life, the company has even gone beyond its design boundaries by extending the traditional concept of outdoor furniture and thus creating dynamic and engaging solutions for open-air scenarios : with the “Outdoor Extras” proposals, Ethimo recounts the side of entertainment, fun, and joyful pleasure that outdoor spaces can offer in every season.
Out-Fit by Ethimo,
design Studio Adolini
Therefore, Out-Fit makes an appearance in this review, the new outdoor gym for training en plein air, created in collaboration with Studio Adolini: a functional and scenic element at the same time, designed for physical well-being, it becomes an opportunity to maintain a healthy lifestyle surrounded by nature. Made of teak and metal with a rust finish, Out-fit is equipped with a series of equipment for bodyweight exercises, including a punching bag, bench, wooden gymnastic rings, elastic band and mat.
Allaperto Nautic by Ethimo,
design Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez
Also noteworthy is Play, a sophisticated outdoor version of the classic ping pong table, an timeless companion for summer afternoons. Refined in its materials, it combines aluminum in the structure, a ceramic stone top and an aluminum frame, and is equipped with a game net with side rods in natural teak. We return to the happiest memories of childhood with the Allaperto Nautic suspended armchair. Part of the homonymous and extensive collection designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, this design “swing” incorporates its nautical-inspired motifs, from the self-supporting Coffe Brown metal structure to the seat in rope and natural teak.
Finally, a famous tribute to the pleasure of playing outdoors is Ace, the collection created by Patrick Norguet to accompany and support the world of outdoor sports, starting with tennis – to which the collection owes its name. A contemporary and design reinterpretation of the functional furnishings usually positioned on the sidelines or by the pool, in spaces intended for welcoming athletes, guests or fans, Ace thus aims to furnish not only professional circuits or major sporting events in an exclusive way, but also to give a touch of design to the most ordinary sporting activities and why not, exclusive residences where the passion for sport is not lacking!
