Architecture, research and design are the three key factors behind the production of Gruppo Fantoni, which since 1882 has concentrated on the creation of office furnishings, dividers and accessorized partitions, panels in MDF and chipboard, sound-absorbing panel, with lines that combine innovative products with personal wellbeing. The ability to stay in step with contemporary needs and to foresee new trends represent the foundation of a company that has an outstanding talent for self-renewal. Precisely in this outlook, Panorama is the latest project developed by Ben van Berkel – UNStudio for Fantoni. The name of the line suggests the capacity to observe a changing world, fully grasping its nuances; the sensitivity with which to combine the microcosms of living and work through unexpected solutions of captivating contemporary design.
The Panorama collection has been formulated to interact with all the products of Fantoni, conceived to develop three specific operative areas: “collaboration,” with solutions for teamwork and brainstorming; “learning & focus,” covering specific concepts like phone booths, individual or group workspaces; and, finally, “social,” which responds to the need for interaction thanks to the possibility of creating breakout areas and comfortable zones for relaxation.
The concept behind the new line is to give rise to a human-centric environment, in which the furnishings themselves generate a comfortable, ideal space for work, dynamic and efficient at the same time, without overlooking chromatic and decorative details of great impact. Thanks to a wide-ranging system of dividers of different heights, users can enjoy a high level of privacy. But around these micro-islands they can also generate new collaborative spaces, soft seating configurations to foster a sense of cooperation, as well as fixed and temporary workstations for a welcoming, versatile office.
Parallel to a vision that puts the everyday quality of life of the individual at its center, there is also the indispensable focus on sustainability, guaranteed by a virtuous production model that conveys a positive message to the entire community. Hence the accent on utilization of recyclable materials with low environmental impact, like the chipboard panels produced by Fantoni with 100% post-consumer wood, and the commitment to independent energy production and vertical integration of production processes, in a systemic perspective of circular economy.
