They were presented at the latest Monaco Yacht Show in 2022, and are riding the crest of a wave. Overmarine Group has introduced the very new Maxi Open models of the Mangusta range: the Mangusta 165REV and the Mangusta Oceano 44, which illustrate a new philosophy of architecture on the sea, combined with high technical performance.

Ultra-modern, with appealing lines in steel and aluminium, Mangusta Oceano 44 is a true floating villa, based on the collaboration between the group’s engineering division and the designer Alberto Mancini. An overwater loft featuring a continuum of indoor and outdoor spaces, in dimensions previously unthinkable for its category, such as the 104 sqm of the sundeck to also accommodate a swimming pool (the second pool is on the main deck).

This is the result of design strategies that include the replacement of the classic bulwarks and lifelines in steel with flush-mounted teak frame windows, expanding the zones for social life. These zones include the beach club, with the stern transom open and the lateral terraces spread, to create a 180° space flooded with natural light, entering through the lateral openings and from the partially glazed upper deck. Peerless experiences, thanks to the excellent performance features of the vessel: range of 4500 miles, maximum speed of 16 knots, and 11 knots while cruising, with zero speed and underway stabilizers.

The concept of life on board has also been reinvented for the Mangusta 165REV, offering vast, welcoming spaces for carefree living, thanks to 4 Rolls Royce 2600 HP motors, combined with 4 Kongsberg-Kamewa waterjets to permit maximum speed of 34 knots with the total absence of noise and vibrations. Full comfort is also provided thanks to the Veem gyro stabilizers, operating at anchor or while cruising.

A gem of 50 meters in overall length, with a sporty profile, created by the in-house engineering division together with the studio Lobanov Design for the external lines, offering total ease for the owner – a splendid full-beam suite of 92 sqm on the main deck – and his guests. The full-height windows in the living area, at the position of the two large foldaway terraces, enable this space to communicate with the outdoor zones.

The beach club has been designed as a completely accessorized lounge, in direct contact with the sea; the bow has an area for relaxation equipped with sun cots, sofas and an infinity pool; a large sundeck, at the center of the yacht, provides comfortable sofas and a bar. The second unit of the Mangusta 165REV has been sold in october, in collaboration with the brokerage house Royal Yacht International, and will be delivered for the summer of 2023. It will have custom interiors, created by the shipyard’s style & décor division, together with the owners team, including 4 guest cabins plus one VIP cabin.

The group has had further success at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, where the Mangusta Oceano 50 received the prestigious Best of Show award, assigned to the yacht the international jury has deemed most innovative in terms of performance, design, technology and architecture.

The Oceano 50, a displacement yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, has been designed in collaboration with Alberto Mancini and P.L.A.N.A. Design of Eng. PierLuigi Ausonio. The model has two major strong points: the enormous forward zone on the main deck, equipped with a custom full-beam pool for an infinity effect, and the owner’s suite on the main deck, with refined interiors and an exclusive completely automatic “balcony” independently controlled by the yachtsman, facing the sea.
