Chromatic effects in the bathroom

Color blocks, reflections, transparency, intense or pastel tones: in the bathroom, the real star of the show is color, in all its shadings

Research probes the depths of the essence and origin of color, also to discover the effects it produces on ceramics, resin, crystal and other materials, enhanced and adorned by chromatic effects. The bathroom evolves from a simple functional space into a treasure chest of aesthetic adventures, ready to create personal narratives.

The new Sartus collection (on cover) created by Stefano Cavazzana for Novello stands out for its original wooden frame that shapes the storage units and also functions as a handle, and also for its drawers with open compartments, and the presence of freely accessorized structures in metal tubing. The lacquer finish comes in as many as 37 different colors, while the solid oak version comes in 7 colors.

Borghi is the freestanding tub designed by Laura Fiaschi and Gabriele Pardi of Gumdesign for antoniolupi. Made in Cristalmood, a transparent resin whose reflections make the tub the protagonist of the bathroom, it comes in the entire range of colors of Cristalmood and the new shades of Mostato, Barrique, Vespero and Notturno. The volume is pure, spacious, ergonomic, made lighter by a narrower base with respect to the tub itself.

Under the artistic direction of Andrea Parisio and Giuseppe Pezzano, Ceramica Cielo conducts experimentation to bring out the essence of color and to investigate its relationship with nature, reinterpreting the value of the ceramic artifact (in the image Elle Tonda, in the powder color). With the exclusive Terre and Acque di Cielo palettes, which are mutually complementary, matte establishes a dialogue with glossy, warm hues with cool ones, giving rise to new configurations.

The rounded form of the washstand offers greater freedom of movement and boosts the available counter space. Precisely as in the washstand solution with a golden finish of Lineabeta by Samo utilized in the project by Amarantostudio.

Interlocks of geometric volumes form the Picture mirror by Ardeco, designed by Enrico Cesana. The mirrors – round or rectangular – are inserted in a metal base, which is rectangular or square. The metal frame comes in two configurations and 11 colors: white, dove gray, brick, rock, lead, mud, midnight blue, fog, ash gray, linen and clay.

The Pear 2 rimless sanitary fixtures by Agape, designed by Patricia Urquiola, reprise the design of the Pear collection, while interpreting it with a slimmer form. Offered in a suspension typology, they come in glossy or matte total white, a classic for the bath environment, or in a two-tone version to generate a dynamic visual effect. Pear 2 is now also available in a version colored inside and out, with a green or dark gray finish, with the seat in the same color.

Designed for Antrax IT by Matteo Thun & Antonio Rodriguez, Serie T takes the name of the famous metal extrusion traditionally used in construction, reinterpreted in terms of forms and materials. In 100% recyclable aluminium, it guarantees extreme compositional flexibility starting from the classic T section, in single or double versions. In the first case, Serie T is a shelf that can be installed horizontally in two different ways. In the second, it becomes a bookcase module with essential geometric lines, to position horizontally or vertically, with accessories like hooks in stainless steel or shelves in wood.

Inda presents Your Own Color: a coordinated total look that permits all the parts of the bathroom to have a single chromatic solution. The refined palette covers 15 matte tones with which to create a custom concept, where the selected color is applied on the borders of the shower walls of the Walk In and Claire Design series, the accessories of the Lea, Gealuna and My Secret series, and on the frame of the Pirano mirror.
