A&B Living is a young, decidedly experimental brand, though rooted in the traditions of cabinetmaking and workmanship typical of the Brianza district. This coexistence of complementary spirits is the company’s strong point and distinctive identity, enabling it to win the acclaim of customers and designers. The firm relies on in-depth knowledge of materials and finishes, applied to sculptural and geometric forms. The results are virtuoso artistic creations, rather than simple furnishings.

The clear vision of the founder Alessio Bernardini, who explains that “fine craftsmanship and design are two worlds that speak to and complete each other,” has led to the creation of a line that perfectly blends an extensive heritage of woodworking with the creative approaches of designers active on the international scene.

The first collection made its debut in 2019, with projects by Luca Barengo, Francesco Citterio and Marco Sorrentino, while this year the signatures include that of Philippe Nigro, the man behind the brand’s first outdoor collection. Philippe Nigro, in keeping with the philosophy of A&B Living, has formulated a family of seating elements in solid iroko wood, with a forceful graphic touch. Posillipo – as the collection is called – is composed of benches, chairs, chaises longues, bergères and ottomans, all marked by a parallel series of wooden slats to form the base. The upper profile becomes sinuous, undulated, almost suggesting the hill from which the collection takes its name, with its thrilling landscapes facing the sea, resting on a solid structure that displays its rigor and its lightness at the same time. The collection is also available in ash wood, selected to shift these furnishings into indoor settings.

Marechiaro by A&B Living, Design Philippe Nigro

In a domestic context, Posillipo intentionally echoes another offering of A&B Living, also created by Philippe Nigro, where parallel wooden parts are once again the distinctive feature. This is Marechiaro: a modular line of dividers, bookcases and cabinets composed of slats with a triangular cross-section, aligned or arranged in a wave for positioning in spaces, setting the tone of various areas in the home. The surface is treated with inks applied by hand, offering multiple chromatic options. Another example of the company’s exceptional manufacturing prowess.
