Contemporary line, captivating appeal. This is the new Eleganza Missoni, the result of the collaboration between Kartell and Missoni. Design and fashion meet and contaminate each other in this seat designed by Philippe Starck and which, thanks to the Maison’s fabrics, finds a new expressiveness.

Eleganza (Elegance) was launched last September, with its creator’s idea to express “with refined discretion the softness and fluidity, the timeless elegance of delicacy.” An upholstered armchair in a dual version – Eleganza Nia and Eleganza Ela – one more enveloping thanks to the armrests, the other more curvilinear in the backrest.

Now, dressed in a new outfit, the seat takes on an unexpected but clearly recognizable look in the textures and colors that recall the fashion brand’s aesthetic matrix. Starting with the zig-zag effect, in the Missoni tradition, for a fabric on a dark base with colored threads with a strong and vibrant character. And a further, more “whispered” weave forms instead wide and regular geometries: thanks to the reverse effect, a version on a white base mounted on a rust leg emerges, and a version with a dark base. The fabrics in fact can also be used on both sides, a functional but also sustainable choice.

“This collaboration was born from the immediate empathy between the teams of the two brands,” says Alberto Caliri, creative director of Missoni Home Collection, “and it is the perfect fusion of fashion and design, where Missoni brings the magic of looms and the elegance of its fabrics and yarns that here take on new forms and applications.
