One step at a time, starting in 1985, ONIRO Group has assembled a formidable roster that stands out on the worldwide scene of Italian luxury, furnishings and interior design, responding to even the most complex needs of a refined international clientele. First with the founding of the brand Jumbo Collection, for classic tastes; then with the acquisition of a license to produce the sensual, distinctive Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors line;  followed by the entry of the brand Gianfranco Ferré Home, heir to the style of the Maison. Later came the experimental JCP Universe, on the boundary between art and design, after which the group acquired ETRO Home Interiors, featuring refined forms and exceptional decorations.

Each brand is the expression of a specific lifestyle concept, in an exchange among different worlds for mutual enhancement. Above all, the group shares a single strong point. It is that of the high quality of materials and workmanship, attention to detail and the value of crafts, as a heritage of the most authentic tradition of Made in Italy. That ‘handmade’ know-how capable of creating unique, inimitable products, above all with a high level of personalization. This sartorial approach is combined with the group’s attitude of innovation and experimentation, to generate versatile offerings that become objects of desire. Not by chance, during the latest Fuorisalone ONIRO Lab, the experimental workshop by ONIRO Group, investigated the theme of dreams, inside and outside the Milan showroom.

ETRO Home Interiors and the voyage

The distinctive elements of the brand – weaves and prints, but also fine woods and types of marble – narrate stories inspired by the theme of the voyage, giving rise to furnishings enhanced by refined forms, decorative touches, citations of faraway cultures and climes. In the Delfi bed the capitonné workmanship of the velvet headboard joins forces with a naturalistic interpretation of the frame and the brass feet, shaped like bamboo canes through careful workmanship. The use of various iconic fabrics in the ETRO Home Interiors line relies on a chromatic palette made of neutral tones like beige and khaki, to create a nighttime corner of evocative atmosphere.

The metropolitan spirit of Gianfranco Ferré Home

Elegant and eclectic, the brand’s style creates a welcoming atmosphere, suggesting the legendary temples of jazz in New York City. The collections, packed with vintage impressions and warm tones of gray and brown, form a perfect combination of contemporary style and memories of the past.

The Madison chair is an example, with its soft, enveloping form and structural belting for an ergonomic, comfortable and relaxing seat. The solid beech stained in Smokey Gray of the shaped structure and the Cappuccino leather covering with decorative ton sur ton stitching are clear reflections of the fashion house’s sartorial approach.

French classic heritage lives on in the Jumbo Collection

Noble and precious materials are enhanced by the use of traditional crafts techniques, such as carving and inlays of fine woodworking, and by innovative methods like laser engraving to create unexpected decorative effects.

Jumbo Collection pays tribute to a concept of exclusive, exuberant luxury, interpreted with typically French taste and combined with a delicate color palette and pale fabrics. Eglantine is a sofa with seductive lines and soft, welcoming forms, enhanced by a hand-carved band with gold leaf finish, and a fabric flounce for the base.

Roberto Cavalli Home Interiors: brash, bold, rock

Bold vivacity has always been the earmark of the brand, which creates collections of remarkable appeal in which finishes, golden details, decorative elements and outstanding workmanship confirm the luxury character.

In line with the creative universe of the designer Fausto Puglisi, the Baobab table references the majestic African tree of the same name. A theatrical décor element in which the structure is lightened by cylindrical tubing in a Gold finish, opening like radially arranged branches. The top suggests the foliage of the tree, composed of five elements with irregular forms in Versylis marble.

The alternative forms of JCP Universe

“The design of JCP Universe is wide ranging, an aesthetic Big Bang from which it seems like a new universe is about to explode, taking on any form except that of ‘normality.’” The words of Stefano Caggiano, a design critic, offer a perfect portrait of the brand’s experimental temperament, leading to artifacts like Harvat, a mirror with an irregular three-dimensional form, made with cast glass, that orients and transforms the identity of the observer. Inspired by chaos theory, the piece illustrates how a small change in a complex system can have enormous effects elsewhere.
