To take the material to its maximum expressive power. This is the feat accomplished by Kreoo, fully demonstrating the value of natural stone and its properties. Founded in 2010 from the experience of Decormarmi, after 50 years of family history in the processing of marble, the brand has evolved in its know-how towards design and the world of international creativity, almost surpassing the physical boundaries of the mineral itself, practically shaping it like clay.

The results are furnishings, complements and facings for the living area and the bathroom, aimed at enhancing residential, hospitality and contract contexts. The offerings have a contemporary aesthetic language, personalized thanks to an excellent chain of production, where fine craftsmanship and handiwork are joined by industrial processes.

Kreoo’s DNA is composed of “the balance between past and present, tradition and innovation, with an essential approach of extreme modernity. To create unique forms, never moored too closely to passing fashions. The products are eternal, universal objects, but with a strong identity,” says Alessandra Farinon, Financial & Marketing Manager of the firm.

The choice of designers with whom to collaborate is also well-balanced, involving personalities like Enzo Berti, Marco Piva, Matteo Nunziati, Sebastiano Zilio, Raffaello Galiotto and Marco Spatti. “We have surrounded ourselves with Italian designers –Alessandra Farinon continues – who know how to imagine unique forms. It is necessary to have a technical approach of deep knowledge of the material, to be able to interpret its virtues, often by combining it with other materials, metals or wood.”

In the bath environment the encounter between marble and water gives rise to soft, polished forms, sinuous profiles that caress the freestanding and countertop washstands, the sculptural bathtubs featuring ergonomic lines for relaxation and comfort. Everything is honed down the smallest details, thicknesses, borders, finishes. The material becomes light, shaped like a fabric, enhanced by metal inserts or juxtaposition with wood. The workmanship has been developed so as to begin with a single block of marble, but also extends to composite solutions of multiple parts, of smaller size, to avoid wasting the material.

In the 13 collections of facings, composed of slabs with a thickness of 2 cm, optical and two-tone effects alternate with bas reliefs, inlays or graffito techniques. The unique three-dimensional textures of great decorative impact are for vertical and horizontal surfaces, in which to also insert metal elements in a chrome, bronze or gold finish.

The living zone of Kreoo welcomes a heterogenous collection: coffee tables, stools, meeting or dining tables, bookcases, lamps, indoor and outdoor seating, lounge spaces and wellness areas. The workmanship focuses on volumes, borders, milling, aimed at bringing out the grain of the stone in fluid, often very slim silhouettes, or rounded out by details in metal, wood or Murano glass.

What ideas are in store for the future? “We will support the identity of Kreoo and its product families with territorial capsule collections for our markets of reference: USA, India and the Middle East, above all,” Alessandra Farinon continues. “A process that has begun precisely during the latest Salone del Mobile, where we presented a line of products for the United States, in collaboration with the interior designer Dwayne Bergmann. The objective is to boost exports with specific strategies, and the guarantee of a chain of production Made in Italy, paying great attention to detail and to production quality, the factors that have led to our acclaim.”
