Big green leaves printed on canvases, the pale beige of sisal flooring and a multitude of plants form the countrified scenario of wellbeing inside which the new Roda creations for 2022 are able to ‘blossom.’ A true Greenhouse, in fact, set up in the company’s booth at the Salone del Mobile to demonstrate awareness and responsibility of products, shaped to meet parameters of sustainability, indoor-outdoor continuity, and an overall mood of ‘outdoor happiness.’

The set-up and its protagonists share in a focus on recycled and recyclable materials. For the stand, this means structures designed to be dismantled and reutilized on other occasions, with the use of fabric panels to divide the various areas, along with wood, natural-fiber carpeting and water-based paints. For the products, it implies the presence of infinitely recyclable materials like aluminium, and the choice of certified ceramics produced with internationally recognized ecological criteria.

In this atmosphere of freshness and wellbeing formulated in an eco-friendly perspective, the 2022 collections are gathered in four main areas, each referring to a single designer but all part of the same philosophy of welcome and pleasure. There are collections specifically created for both indoor and outdoor use, such as the sinuous Mamba designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, a series of modular sofas in lively colors, composed of six pieces for variable groupings.

Or Plein Air by Michael Anastassiades, a collection of armchairs and tables in different sizes, where the tables epitomize the Roda approach to sustainable production. Entirely in teak, with a language that is both classic and modern, Levante is a complete series of products created by Piero Lissoni, including a table in two sizes, a chair with armrests, a lounge chair and a chaise longue.

Furthermore, visitors can see new developments for 2022: a sofa with a large comfortable seat, accompanied by two coffee tables with compact lines, and a sun cot with a practical and extractable lateral metal shelf. Good looks and functional quality are also on forceful display in the Aspic family of tables by Gordon Guillaumier, as versatile complements that can be used individually or in groups with a game of interlocks. The visual effect is striking thanks to the alternating versions with a round top in two different sizes, and a larger oval shape, enhancing the concrete structure, as well as the braced top supported by sinuous vertical walls.

Finally, in the smoke/rust two-tone finish, Norma is a modular and versatile outdoor kitchen created by Rodolfo Dordoni. The unusual hues are the result of collaboration with the company Ilve, embodying the typically Italian pleasure of convivial living together with functional quality, elegance and outdoor performance.
