Seletti meets Ceramica Bardelli: irrationality as a rule

Art and matter blend in the capsule collection “Tiles (R)evolution” composed of five lines that change the rules of décor

Tiles have decided to get a new look and get noticed. The result is “Seletti 4 Ceramica Bardelli,” a collaboration between two Italian companies to liven up the world of surfaces in the home and in professional spaces.

From the impossible geometries of Escher (the Distortion line) to texture-effect mosaics also covering rounded walls like fabric (Black&White line); from the shiny reflecting diamond surfaces with a retro flavor (Diamond line) to a dreamy stroll on a carpet of clouds, all the way to a virtual plunge into crystal-clear water (Elements Nuvole and Acqua), all the versions of the Tiles (R)evolution capsule collection offer a hyper-creative sensory journey.

“The encounter with Stefano Seletti makes a dream come true, namely the creation of a 2D capsule collection with the aesthetics and design typical of 3D, to speak to the world of architecture with an original language,” says Gianmaria Bardelli. “The shared objective? To disrupt the logic of modern composition and decoration and to get away from conventions! Together, we are opening the doors to the (R)evolution of design in the world of ceramic tiles!”

Inside Seletti they are always ready to experiment with the use of new materials, as the artistic director Stefano Seletti explains: “I have discovered that the world of surfaces has something magical, due to the possibilities it offers, the potential that is somehow close to that of art.”

Now the task is to construct new domestic settings (and also urban furnishings, we might add) by starting with these innovative and decidedly versatile ingredients that will bring joy to all interior designers in search of astonishment. For themselves and others.
