A partner of NYCxDesign, Vitra has commissioned the well-known floral artist from New York Lutfi Janania to create a series of innovative, playful, organic and sculptural installations inspired by the new Vitra Flower Guide, a special catalogue on vases and how to use them to enliven the spaces in which we live and work through botanical artistry.
This is an opportunity to visit the Vitra studio on Madison Avenue in New York, open to the public for the first time (from 11 to 18 May 2022, by appointment only), and to admire the series of vases selected for the installation, including the new Vase Découpage line designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec.
The space will also host two important talks: on 11 May, for the opening, Lutfi will have a conversation with Elissa Auther, curator of the Flower Craft exhibition opening at the MAD-Museum of Arts and Design in New York; while on 18 May, there will be a conference titled Dynamic Spaces on the new flexible office furnishing systems by Vitra.
