The Design Pavilion project is back, enlivening the main “piazza” of New York: Times Square. From 7 to 15 May 2022, visitors can see the installation Filter designed by CLB Architects, the studio founded and helmed by the architect Eric Logan.

“After two years of pandemic, we are all rethinking every aspect of our lives and our environment. Design Pavilion is responding boldly with an authentic desire to help humankind,” says Ilene Shaw, producer and founder of Design Pavilion and Design Talks NOW, “granting an opportunity to progressive companies, farsighted designers, architects, artists and schools to directly address the public. As always, we are welcoming brilliant and courageous thinkers to share their explorations. And to go forward.”

Created in collaboration with Emit Technologies, Spearhead, Dowbuilt, Filter is the perfect antithesis of urban frenzy, conceived as a place of contemplation and reflection in which to be immersed, escaping from the chaos. Steel and wood create a tactile, sustainable and reusable structure, in a choral tribute to the natural environment.

When the event is over the structure will be relocated to a public park. Coordinated with the Design Pavilion installation, the Design Talks NOW 2022 will present a “Visionary Series on Courage,” provocative conversations in partnership with the NeueHouse of New York.
