A geometric gesture transformed into volume. This is the background of the Lemni chair for Living Divani. “The initial idea for the development of this product was to work on a theme I cherish, namely that of the chair: I have always been interested in these very simple, light objects that have a sort of flap, in fabric or leather, hung over a structure,” says Marco Lavit, founder of the architecture and design firm Atelier LAVIT based in Paris. The cowhide seat is placed on a tubular steel structure coated in black, forming an elegant geometric figure in the air, and welcoming the roller cushion of the back, the only padded part. Existing between the world of product design and that of limited editions, Lemni is a chair that is a bit furniture, a bit sculpture, perfect for both the living area and the nighttime zone in any home.
