The signature of Matteo Lualdi of the studio lualdimeraldi for the new concept store just opened by Mo.1950 in the heart of the Sant’Ambrogio district in Milan, part of a specific growth project for the company specialized in services for contract projects and personalized design solutions.

Entering after having a look at the eight windows at Via Carducci 38, visitors are immersed in a residential setting where the metropolitan mood meets the most prestigious contemporary design, not without some references to hôtellerie. The spaces, organized precisely like an apartment, host the furniture collections of Olivieri, the chairs, tables and complements of Frag, and the carpets – also handmade – by Carpet Edition, the technical partner of the project.

“The central role of the consumer is a constantly growing trend in the furniture industry,” says Corrado Molteni, General Manager of Mo.1950. “There is an increasing desire for unique experiences, with people as the protagonists of living spaces. The group of partners selected by Mo.1950 allows us to respond to different needs, and to bring out the best in the choices of every client.”

Founded in Brianza as a furniture store in the 1950s, Mo.1950 has made tailoring into its strong point, and can now offer private clients and contract developers complete custom design solutions, relying on the partnership with brands like Cesar, Caccaro and Calligaris Group (Calligaris, Ditre Italia and Luceplan).

A space for a 360° habitat experience, then, where the facility on Via Carducci joins the existing showroom of Mo. 1950 on Via Molino delle Armi, also in Milan: the store was already part of the Mo.1950 “system” as the Ditre showroom, which has now been moved into the flagship store of the Calligaris group on Via Solferino.
