Inspired by the model who was the symbol of Swinging London in the 1960s and 1970s, the “twig” created for Foscarini by Marc Sadler in 2006 doesn’t rise up from the ground this time, but hangs from the ceiling with a suspension version that opts for wood to boost the perceived warmth of the light.

The thin shade grants Twiggy Wood lightness, as well as elegance and personality in spite of its extreme simplicity. The new finish makes it modern, like its forerunners, but with a subtle retro image that conveys a certain sense of authoritative form. The lamp is thus ideal for corporate contexts, not only for the home. A new personality oriented towards the world of hospitality and contract projects in general, and the latest addition to a series of variations on a theme that has met with remarkable success.

The two very thin sheets of overlaid wood for the shade of Twiggy Wood receive rays from a new technical grouping with double-face LEDs to guarantee a perfect glow.

The pursuit of efficient and elegant beauty suggests lingering over several particulars: two bamboo rings placed at the ends of the light grouping bear witness to the perfect roundness of the beam of light, to ensure a pleasant view from below, while a decorative stem conceals the wiring, accompanying the lamp in its descent from the ceiling.
