The pop-up store created at the Mandarin Oriental in Bodrum, Turkey for the fashion brand Raisa Vanessa is minimal (but warm) and very theatrical at the same time. The project by the Istanbul-based studio Sanayi1313 is entirely organized with a few elements: color and a natural dimension. The result is an engaging setting.

In the space facing the hotel’s beach, the materials are rugged and natural. The rich terracotta color of the walls and ceiling has been chosen to bring out the beauty of the sand and the blue sea. The idea of a monochrome box enhances the apparel and accessories on display, which become the true protagonists of the space, together with the large botanical sculpture hanging from the ceiling, a mixture of hydrangea, amaranthus and Beaucarnea recurvata by the artist Yunus Karma.

On the ground, concrete slabs set on a bed of gravel give the space the look of a geometric, essential garden, suspended between Orient and Occident. A small project, but one of great impact.
