This long-term, original perspective also covers the intense collaboration with Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, in which the dualism and curious approach of the designers reflects a shared ability to combine different materials, assigning them different roles. The result is a collection of 13 pieces that ‘discovers’ the lasting aesthetic, luminous and contemporary appeal of stainless steel, displayed or left partially visible in the structures of chairs, large and small tables, and in posts covered with woven slightly padded woven cord for sofas, armchairs and cots.
The stainless steel structure becomes the fil rouge of the whole collection, going against the trend towards aluminium, but in continuity with the enveloping design and nautical references offered by the company in recent years.
George Collection: sturdy structure, sophisticated profile
Both in the two-seat sofa and the multiple combinations offered by the flagship product of the Talenti garden collection – the George modular system – the enveloping design and comfort of the seat form a contrast with the strength and durability of the stainless steel posts of the structure, which remain on view behind the weave of slightly padded synthetic belting of the back.
The ottoman completes the modular sofa, sharing its ample padding, the fabrics in various colors and the model’s resistance to weathering.
The living room armchair is a completely swiveling model, while the lounge version has the characteristic of combining elegance of form with the practicality of a folding design. The cords of the seat and back interlock perfectly during the movement of closure. The solid stainless steel structure makes this model ideal for relaxing outdoor moments.
In the George daybed and cot we can see all the earmarks of the collection, including the quick foam cushions with completely removable covers.
The collection also offers chairs, which can be closed thanks to a game of interlocking cords, as well as small and large tables in different forms and sizes, where the surprising balance between materials and design emerges in the possibility of combining the ‘luminous’ structure with tops in accoya wood or volcanic stone.
