Laminam acquires Best Surface and reinforces its operations in Spain

The group specialized in large ceramic surfaces opens its first plant in Spain, at Castellón de la Plana, joining the existing facilities in Italy and Russia

Laminam continues to expand by leaps and bounds, opening its first plant in Spain to join the existing facilities in Italy and Russia.

The company based in Fiorano Modenese, specializing in XL ceramic surfaces, backed by Alpha Private Equity, has acquired a 100% share in Best Surface, a company based on an idea of Barbieri & Tarozzi Group in 2018, in the heart of the Spanish ceramic district of Castellón de la Plana. Best Surface produces and markets large surfaces under the brand Idylium, as an exclusive licensee of the brand Automobili Lamborghini Surfaces.

The completion of the operation is slated for the first quarter of 2022. This acquisition comes on the heels of investments of over 50 million euros, now in the completion phase, in order to double the production capacity of the plants of the Laminam group.

“Laminam has set off on an ambitious path of growth and international expansion. The acquisition of Best Surface – says Alberto Selmi, CEO of Laminam – fits into this context of development and will allow the group to widen its production footprint through direct access to the strategic ceramics district of Castellón de la Plana. We are pleased to welcome Best Surface and its staff, who will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the future growth of Laminam, in a situation of great impact, with the goal of conquering even larger shares of the market.”
