Curated by Klodian Dedja with art direction by Carlo Pizzichini, the exhibition Reflexes involves the installation of 12 works by the sculptor Helidon Xhixha in several locations of Val d’Orcia, Tuscany: the Horti Leonini of San Quirico, 16th-century gardens designed by Michelangelo and located in the historical center, Piazza Chigi at San Quirico, the famous Cipressini and the Chapel of Vitaleta on the Via Francigena, the 16th-century pool at the center of Bagno Vignoni, and Piazza del Duomo in Siena.
The monumental forms in polished steel by Helidon Xhixha, which shape light and its reflections, come to terms with space and time, summer and fall seasons, glowing with the hues of the surrounding landscape in an area listed as heritage by UNESCO since 2004.
The exhibition distributed in the territory celebrates the 50th anniversary of Forme nel verde, the longest international sculpture exhibition founded in 1971 thanks to the intuition of Mario Guidotti, an renowned art collection with in-depth knowledge of modern and contemporary art, honored this year by the assignment of the Medal of Honor of the President of the Italian Republic.
Every day from dawn to dusk, until 2 November 2021, free of charge.
The exhibitions at Palazzo Chigi-Zondadari are open from 10.00 to 19.00.
