Italian Design Brands lands in London

The center of Italian décor and design Italian announces the founding of an affiliate for the UK market

Italian Design Brands, the center of premium décor and design Made in Italy, now reaches London with its seven companies: Gervasoni with Very Wood, Meridiani, Cenacchi International, Davide Groppi, Saba Italia, Modar and Flexalighting.

IDB has announced the creation of Italian Design Brands UK Ltd (IDB UK), the affiliate for the United Kingdom, located in the South Kensington district, famous for its prestigious cultural institutions like the Victoria & Albert Museum.

IDB UK will have the job of supporting and promoting the growth and presence of the group’s companies in the UK market, which ranks fourth as a destination for Italian exports of the macro-system of furnishings and lighting on a worldwide level, with a value of over 600 million euros. This is also the third European market on the export level for IDB, accounting for about 5% of sales.

Thanks to IDB UK, the companies and other brands joining forces in the future will be able to develop and consolidate their presence in the UK. The goal of the affiliate is to guide the companies in the creation of a network of distribution, providing coordination and strategic management.

The sole director of IDB UK is Giorgio Gobbi, Managing Director of IDB and previously chairman of the affiliate IDB Suzhou Co. Ltd., flanked by Manuel Vizcaino-Sanchez, Country Manager for Sales.
