April, Milan, Fuorisalone. It’s a natural, traditional equation. Not to disappoint the design industry and its expectations, the Fuorisalone makes an appearance, for the second year in a row in a completely digital format. From 12 to 18 April the online platform will stage previews of products, round table discussions, virtual events and webinars, with a focus on new developments.
The theme “Forms of Living” becomes the red thread running through hundreds of offerings: an invitation to think about living spaces, how they are changing and how they will evolve in the future; an investigation in balance between design, art, architecture and anthropology, with a special accent on questions of circular design, sustainability and wellbeing.
In this framework, a key role of research, information and education is played by talks and webinars: starting with the cycle of 11 talks proposed by Strategy Innovation, the spin-off of Ca’ Foscari, on the theme of domestic space; then the talks of Lombardini22 on the design of building enclosures, retail spaces and workspaces; and the three appointments with Phyd, the phygital venture of Adecco Group, meeting with Paola Navone and Amleto Picerno Ceraso for an encounter on the relationship between education and the labor market for design.
There will also be the contribution of the Digital Innovation Days with the talk titled “The new age of design” and of Teva, with an appointment about design thinking applied to the world of pharmaceuticals.
So what are the highlights of Fuorisalone.it? Don’t miss the series “Taste the Architect” produced by INDEHO and promoted by Signature Kitchen Suite; the announcement of the winners of the call organized by Worth Partnership Project; the third edition of Life in Vogue, curated by Federica Sala; the exhibition Design Off-line by NABA- Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti at Scalo Lambrate, featuring projects by the students in the Design department; and the fifth edition of the festival Rethink! Service Design Stories with “Talkin’ Bout A Revolution”.
The timing for the next edition has just been confirmed, from 5 to 10 September 2021, in a physical way, even without the Salone del Mobile.
