Precisely on the boundary between two contexts, that of the home and that of the office in the fullest sense of the term. A crest from which to observe two worlds, with the awareness of being able to adapt to both. By virtue of a stylistic approach that obeys the most refined and more conventional dictates of domestic interior décor, while at the same time providing a focus on refined workspace, which requires elegantly minimal design. These are the offerings of the Office Collection by Gallotti&Radice

Unlike the current trend that draws on the office to create solutions that can also be used in the home, the new collection takes its cue from the taste embodied by the furnishing lines for the living area by Gallotti&Radice, transferred into desks with the same design language. A demonstration of the fact that working space can conserve a high aesthetic level, without sacrificing its primary function.

This is what happens with President Junior, an item for the office area of great impact, thanks to its curved form and the combination of tempered glass (transparent, extra-light or ‘Italian gray’), and metal parts at the perimeter (in polished or brushed stainless steel, polished or brushed brass, or with an embossed black or white lacquer finish). The signature feature is the joint that has been the earmark of Gallotti&Radice for over 50 years.

Another example is Air Desk, designed by Pinuccio Borgonovo. Glass returns as the main material, transparent or ‘Italian gray,’ tempered with a thickness of 12 mm, to bring great visual lightness to the desk, also available in the tabletop version for use with the Air Unit system: Air Desk 1 features the same range of finishes, sizes and compositional solutions as Air Desk.

Finally, we should mention Prism Desk, for its forceful material impact. Created by the Lebanese duo David/Nicolas, this design in India rosewood is crossed along its entire length by inlays of natural aluminium, while the two trapezoidal bases contain two shelves each, in tempered 8 mm extra-light glass. A game of forms, materials and tactile sensations, ideal for use in any context.
