Roda’s 2021 catalogue reflects its solid experience in indoor-outdoor furnishings Made in Italy, accentuating a natural focus on the environment and good design. The company’s commitment to sustainability, as part of its corporate culture, goes hand in hand with new collaborations with internationally renowned creative talents.

The collections embody a sense of timeless beauty, beyond passing fashions, in tune with nature and expressed through materials and forms that are intrinsically and responsibly connected to the environment, as a result of domestic proximity extending beyond increasingly nuanced boundaries.

Gardens and urban terraces conceived as landscapes in which to live, to appreciate and care for. Spaces that become perfect zones for socializing, working, relaxing, connected to new creative, theatrical and above all residential possibilities, with the same refinement usually lavished on indoor settings.

Forever Green

The design approach of Roda is coherent and recognizable, with a focus on human beings, fine detailing and ‘sustainable thinking.’ With the 2021 collections, Roda reinforces its environmental awareness through what by now is a consolidated ‘mimetic’ design approach, utilizing recycled and ecological materials. The panorama of the company’s responsible offerings has expanded, under the long-term guidance of the art director Rodolfo Dordoni, with products stemming from collaboration with highly acclaimed designers.

The Plein Air dining tables created by the Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades stand out for their essential, refined lines and geometric forms. The aluminium framework is based on a line that starts at the leg of the table, and seamlessly rises to form a corner, then shifting into a rounded frame. The structure, in the colors Smoke and Milk, can be combined with a large top made with a single slab of stoneware offered in two new variants, Graphite and Clay. The tables come in four sizes, including one with an ample length of 280 centimeters. The ecological premise of Plein Air is the use of aluminium – which can be endlessly recycled – and the choice of ceramics made with at least 40% recycled material.

The elegant and functional Bush On family of extra-large planters designed by Gordon Guillaumier contributes to expand the increasingly original range of the company’s outdoor accessories. The vases are made entire in 100% natural brown cork and covered inside with resin. The collection by Guillaumier includes three different hourglass forms in three sizes, ideal for individual use or to create grouped compositions, in tune with and enhancing plants and flowers.

Color and the bond with landscape are central factors of the Tint outdoor rug, created with the artistic touch of Maria Gabriella Zecca to add forceful but delicate identity to any domestic setting. Thanks to the elegant combination of hues and yarns – a lovely mixture of desaturated tones reminiscent of the rocky colors of the earth, or blue-green hues – Tint can be spontaneously inserted in outdoor areas, naturally covering the ground in perfect dialogue with all indoor or outdoor design solutions.
