The outdoor concept of Ethimo is an extension of the value of interiors, to form a private oasis of wellbeing and style. The prestigious and prolific collaborations with internationally acclaimed designers have contributed, over the years, to an extremely varied range of furniture offerings; collections that in spite of their own expressive autonomy are all mutually “communicating” in ideal settings.
The company’s production constantly grows and explores a return to green principles that also responds to the present need to rethink our lifestyles. Without seasonal limitations. In 2021 Ethimo will underline the essence of every season, addressing all the shades and tonal combinations of the Italian landscape in its catalogue.
An iconic and very Venetian lounge set
The new design challenge of Ethimo is the very recent Venexia created by Luca Nichetto: a collection that with its lounge chairs, two-seat sofas and chaise longue reinterprets the traditional approach to aluminium furniture, inspired by the functional elegance of 19th-century urban design.
The pieces can exist separately or in configurations, to create large sofas or daybeds. The coordinated tables with tops in volcanic stone or glazed earthenware, available in two different diameters and heights, can also be included in the compositional dynamics.
The dark gray structure of the furniture is a visual reminder of antique railings. The graphic rigor generates a perfect rhythm of slim aluminium slats, shaped using particular molds to ensure uniformity of all the parts. The result is a collection of grand proportions, visually light yet full of sensations of solidity and durability.
The soft, amble cushions for the seating elements feature special waterproof filler made with recycled materials.
A tribute to contemporary convivial enjoyment
Keeping faith with the exotic impressions and structural force of the larger collection created as a lounge line, Rafael expands into the dining room, with chairs and tables that are completely in tune with the overall project, its tactile materials and chromatic energy.
Thanks to the exceptional and visionary creativity of Paola Navone, the dining table becomes a surprising project, capable of transforming the dining area into an elegant, original mode de vie.
Available in two sizes (264 x 155 cm or 160 x 160 cm), the tables combine a wooden structure with tops in statuary marble and glazed volcanic stone, skillfully crafted to create irregular forms with intense color.
The Rafael dining table is also available in a third version entirely made in teak, with a brushed or pickled finish and a round top with a diameter of 230 cm. This version can be enhanced with a Lazy Susan, a rotating top in statuary marble, 110 cm in diameter.
The new chairs stand out for their unexpected game of weaving – made with light gray round rope – for the seat, and the decorative-functional touch of supports in gray plastic on the teak structure.
