Water: the sea in a project

The new collection of fabrics created for Natuzzi by the Dutch studio Byborre links back to the waves of the Mediterranean

Like the waves of the Mediterranean: Water is the new collection of fabrics designed for Natuzzi by the Dutch studio Byborre, specialized in research and experimentation with high-tech, sustainable fabrics, for fashion and interior design. The result is a yarn that combines wool of the highest quality with recycled PES, soft and pleasing to the touch but also sturdy.

A line that references, starting with its name, the sea faced by the Natuzzi company in Apulia, suggesting five hues from intense blue to iridescent shades, in a relief pattern that seems unpredictable,  just like the ripples of the sea.

This covering has been chosen to clad and personalize the new offerings in the collection The Circle of Harmony, like the ample, welcoming Argo sofa by Paola Navone, the sculptural Infinito model by Marcantonio, and the Buddy asymmetrical sofa designed by Mauro Lipparini.

“With Pasquale Junior (Chief Creative Officer of Natuzzi, ed.) we share a vision and an approach, the sense of an opportunity to evolve together in an alternative way,” says Borre Akkersdijk, CEO and co-founder of Byborre. “Thinking about the future of people and our planet, with Natuzzi we are seeking new ways to create fabrics of high quality, which are also sustainable and easy to personalize.”
