Striking yachts with sea-view lounges and infinity pools, fast jet skis with racing performance, signature vessels with interiors by famous artists. All this and much more on view from 1 to 6 October at the Genoa Boat Show. Lots of outstanding names, unveiling the latest dream yachts, mixtures of technology, functional quality, fine craftsmanship, design vision, entrepreneurial courage and heritage. Here’s a sampling.
Benetti (stand H107 Marina Ormeggi, Pier H)
Benetti unveils, for the first time, the Oasis 40M, a yacht entirely in fiberglass, with exteriors by the English studio RWD and refined interiors by the New York-based firm Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture. The highlight is the dramatic beach area at the stern, with an infinity pool. Aimed at a modern clientele with a dynamic, informal lifestyle, the yacht has 4 decks with 5 cabins for 10 guests, and 4 cabins for the 7 crew members, including a comfortable skipper’s lodging on the upper deck next to the wheelhouse. Oasis 40M is a boat for yachtsmen who are not in a hurry, and want to enjoy the journey: it reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots, and at 11 knots it consumes little more than 100 l/h, with enough range to make an Atlantic crossing.
Sanlorenzo (stand YF35, F145, F157, H, F147, F149, F151, F153, F155 Marina Ormeggi, Pier F; stand H105, H103, H101, Marina Ormeggi, Pier H)
“We have connected the spaces just as in a building, through technological openings that trigger indoor-outdoor relations. The boat is like a floating villa.” These are the words of Piero Lissoni, art director of Sanlorenzo since 2018, to describe the Sanlorenzo SX112, the new flagship of the SX crossover line. With a length of 34 meters, this is a vessel where indoor-outdoor barriers are banished, giving the yachtsman a more direct experience of the sea. The focal point of the design is the spacious beach area at the stern, of about 90 square meters, easy to expand thanks to folding terraces; inside, there is a gym area directly connected to the open air by large sliding glass doors. The interiors are by Piero Lissoni, the exteriors by Bernardo Zuccon, while the concept of the SX crossover line is by Luca Santella.
Azimut Yachts (Stand H11 – Ormeggi Pier H)
A signature yacht: Azimut Yachts presents Magellano 25 Meter, the result of collaboration between the shipyard and the architect-artist Vincenzo De Cotiis, for the interiors, while the exteriors are by Ken Freivokh. A true compendium of innovation: high-tech details, the use of carbon, and advanced on-board technology.
Pirelli by Tecnorib (Stand E851 – Ormeggi Pier E)
Pirelli, the producer of high-quality inflatables, introduces Pirelli 42: designed by Ted Mannerfelt, this is the new walk-around with a length of 13.1 meters, with daring lines and charming details. Visitors can also see the scale model of the Pirelli 35, a sports boat with forceful aerodynamic design, created for sporty clients in search of thrilling performance and great stability, thanks to the double-step hull.
Evo Yachts (Stand E307 – Ormeggi Pier E)
The Evo Yachts brand, formed in 2014 thanks to the encounter between Blu Emme Yachts and the Neapolitan yacht designer Valerio Rivellini, presents the world preview in Genoa of the new Evo R6 Open, designed by Rivellini. The new 18-meter is the open version of the Evo R6, the successful flagship of the R series, offering the same elegant design and spatial flexibility.
Antonini Navi (Stand YF19 – Marina Uffici Pier F)
One appointment not to miss is on Thursday 1 October at 17.00, at the Teatro Del Mare, for the press conference of the shipyard Antonini Navi, introducing a project based on an idea of Aldo Manna and supported by the Antonini family. The new developments include the UP40, designed by Fulvio De Simoni in close collaboration with the technical division of Antonini Navi, a naval platform in steel with a length of 40 meters; depending on the selected superstructure, the platform gives rise to three different models: Crossover, Explorer or Motoryacht.
Yamaha Marine Italia (Stand BC2 – Pavilion B Terreno | Stand A207, A208, A209, A211, BA38A – Pier A)
Yamaha Marine Italia has perfected the V MAX SHO line of motors, three tuning forks with four power levels, reduced weight and more compact design, created for fishing boats and sports vessels. The brand is also presenting the new Helm Master EX, a novel control system that makes any on-board activity easier and more fun thanks to a sophisticated range of functions. Finally, there is the much-awaited Superjet Waverunner, the new stand-up jet ski based on Yamaha’s racing expertise, offering real thrills even for amateurs.
Invictus Yacht (Stand A159 Marina Ormeggi – Pier A)
“The sea is not just a place for vacation, or an enchanting backdrop for photographs – it is a lifestyle,” says Christian Grande, designer of Invictus Yachts, introducing the new Invictus TT460 flagship. “This boat comes from the desire to give form to that energy, to the thrill of a day on board: when time seems to stand still, and you feel at one with the sunshine and the waves. All without sacrificing style, that utterly Italian refinement that adds value to any experience.” The taut, essential lines are the distinctive feature of the Invictus hulls: the profile from the bow to the center of the yacht, the elegant windscreen that is continued by the hardtop in carbon, bringing further thrust to the powerful volume of this new model driven by two Volvo Penta IPS 650 motors. The model offers a wide range of custom options: Atelier Invictus provides clients with a network of specialized craftsmen and highly qualified suppliers, to make any desire become reality.
