Azimut|Benetti presents CEO Marco Valle and nine new models

The nautical group appoints Marco Valle as its new CEO, introduces nine new yachts and assigns the narrative to the director Gabriele Muccino

“The beauty of art can be so striking that you can no longer do without it.” So begins Open Your Eyes, a short but evocative film by the director Gabriele Muccino to celebrate the debut in Portofino of the Magellano 25-meter model by Azimut Yachts. The video clip demonstrates that beauty is universal and timeless, with the protagonists who are thrilled at the sight of the Barcaccia, the famous fountain of Piazza di Spagna in Rome, and are likewise amazed when they enter the refined interiors of the boat.

A story that completes a remarkable period of new developments for Azimut|Benetti: the nautical group founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli (then a college student) has appointed a new CEO, Marco Valle, inside the company since 1996 and previously CEO of the Azimut Yachts brand. He has been chosen to bring harmony across the group through the best practices of the two divisions, with the aim of creating synergies and developing greater efficiency. “The new position assigned to Marco Valle goes beyond the previous organization of our company, which over time has seen the coexistence of Benetti and Azimut more as cousins than as brothers. Now we are ready for a dynamic of more extensive exchange and optimization,” explains the vice-president and daughter of the founder, Giovanna Vitelli.

Nine models will be introduced over the next 18 months: for Azimut Yachts they range from the new flagship, the Trideck of Achille Salvagni and Alberto Mancini due to be ready in January, also the moment of the debut of the Flybridge 53, again designed by Mancini, to the Magellano 30-meter, big sister of the 25-meter model with interior design by Vincenzo De Cotiis. And there’s more: a Verve 42, a new Flybridge and the Magellano 66.

Benetti, which at Portofino celebrated the delivery of the first Oasis 40-meter, will consolidate this new collection with another model, and also add a new family with Motopanfilo, which evokes the charm of the yachts that made the brand famous in the 1960s; September 2021, on the other hand, is the date for the 37-meter from the B.Yond collection.

“Our overall offering will shift from 30 to 35 models, practically covering all the existing categories in the market of yachting excellence, increasing the collections from 8 to 10, with the entry in the luxury explorer category, B.Yond, and the world of Oasis – Marco Valle emphasizes. – This will allow us to continue to serve our international clientele with even greater punctuality, adapting to their desires thanks to a range from 12 meters to over 100 meters, proposing very different styles of di navigation and onboard living solutions.”
