Best Managed Companies, according to Deloitte

Kudos for 59 companies in the third edition of the ‘Best Managed Companies Award’ of Deloitte, including design firms like Giorgetti, Sanlorenzo, IDB Group, Florim, Tecno. The handling of the pandemic is one of the criteria of assessment

They stand out for strategy, expertise and innovation, corporate culture and engagement, governance and performance, internationalization and sustainability. But also, and above all, in this difficult year, “for great ability and resilience demonstrated in coping with the crisis linked to Covid-19.”

There are 59 corporate winners of the prestigious ‘Best Managed Companies’ prize organized by Deloitte with the support of ALTIS Università Cattolica, ELITE – the program of the London Stock Exchange Group to support high-potential business growth – and Confindustria.

Many names in the design and furniture sector appear in the list of winners (manufacturers have the highest share, with 61%, followed by wholesale and retail, construction, information and communication, consulting and energy): winners making their debut include Florim Ceramiche and Gibus, while return winners are Calligaris, Gessi, Giorgetti, IDB Group, Sanlorenzo and Tecno.

The companies were honored for certain shared aspects of the handling of the pandemic, such as a focus on human resources, always a central factor in business; control of cash flow; respect for the chain of supply and production (from meeting obligations with suppliers to support of those in difficulty); the launch of new products in reaction to changing market demands; social responsibility and reinforcement of communication with all stakeholders.

Other data are worth noting: in the last 12 months 74% of the BMC implemented formal processes to stimulate innovation; 70% see the theme of sustainability as fundamental, while 78% use at least one tool to gauge and improve social and environmental impact. All the Best Managed Companies, finally, believe that employee growth is a strategic priority.

Starting on 17 September, applications can be submitted for the Best Managed Companies Award 2021. Here for more information
