In Paris with Silvera

Brigitte Silvera, general manager of Silvera, explains us how she is reorganizing the sellings

How are you rearranging the way you sell?

Together with our brand partners, essentially to be informed of the news that were not presented at the Milan fair and to organize presentation to our clients in September or January with these news.

Who are your customers?

In the stores private and architects that are faithful to us as our sales people create a warm and reliable contact. Architects had several serious projects and we are happy about that. But with the Covid the situation has changed and stopped many projects. Now that we have opened, we can see that people that are coming are really interested and focused. We also have a very big activity in contract and this one is more uncertain as several big projects seems to be cancelled or postponed.

How are you maintaining or rethinking the relationships with your customers?

During these months, we have done several newsletters informing them about our situation, processes, news etc, using also Instagram and updating the e-shop. In fact our main issues were to be careful with the deliveries, inform them about the lead times and new delays we have to face.

What is the furniture market like?

The yellow vest protest and strikes were a big issue in Paris, but as the economy was better and there were more projects. Even though we had to rule the store openings especially on Saturdays, we were able to manage. The Covid is something else because independent of our willing, we were obliged to close the stores and we had to follow up the deals already made or in progress but we were unable to act except with some requests on the e-shop.
