On a (virtual) tour at Molteni&C

Molteni&C presents its updated showroom inside the headquarters at Giussano, also open to virtual visits thanks to an interactive platform

An impressive space of 1300 square meters, on three levels: this is the renovated showroom of Gruppo Molteni, inside the headquarters at Giussano, Brianza. An architectural project inspired by modernism, interpreted in fluid, elegant and convivial spaces.
A place that can also be visited in a virtual way, thanks to a digital platform that is easy to use, with an interactive map to get your bearings. The visit is enhanced by video interviews with the designers, from the art director Vincent Van Duysen to long-term signatures of the brand like Rodolfo Dordoni and Nicola Gallizia, together with Marta Ferri, Francesco Meda and Michael Anastassiades, and short videos on new products, with 3D effects. The contents are organized to measure based on the user profile, in a special playlist to produce a more immersive experience.

“Since the Salone del Mobile has been canceled twice, we have had to reinvent our approach, discovering a new digital platform to present our new projects to the public and the world,” says Van Duysen. “We have also decided to redesign the showroom in Giussano, where we present the new collection, through a virtual tour to reveal all the new developments and the atmosphere I have created for 2020. This is the new present, this is the new way of working.”

On view, the products for 2020 in various domestic settings: starting with the living area, with the Hector bookcase by Van Duysen, a piece that stores, divides and organizes an office corner thanks to the built-in desk; also by Van Duysen, the Octave seating system is based on modular elements to create linear or corner compositions, or unusual configurations by inserting suspended trapezoidal or rectangular segments.

In the kitchen, the XY composition by Francesco Meda is based on Cartesian coordinates to organize modules and parts, putting all utensils within easy reach. The dining zone features the Devon seating family by Rodolfo Dordoni, together with Half a Square by Michael Anastassiades, a minimal table with an unexpected design, in keeping with the style of the designer from Cyprus. The tour continues into the bedroom zone, furnished with the new Azul bed by Nicola Gallizia and the wardrobe organized with Gliss Master by Van Duysen, now with new accessories and finishes.
