The contemporary flair of Penta and the big signatures of Arredoluce are now joined by the technical lighting of Castaldi. A triad that makes Gruppo Penta an increasingly specialized reality, offering complete proposals in the world of lighting, with the clear aim of acting as a partner of reference in complex projects.
As a historic Italian firm specialized in high-end indoor and outdoor technical lighting, Castaldi enters the group with a solid background of experience, as proven by a portfolio of outstanding international references – from the Abu Dhabi airport to the prestigious Cleveland Clinic – also involving collaboration with leading international architecture studios.
“For Gruppo Penta, Castaldi represents an extraordinary opportunity to further expand its boundaries in the high-end architectural and technical lighting sector, bringing a heritage of consolidated know-how in this area,” says Andrea Citterio, CEO of Gruppo Penta (now reporting consolidated income of about 30 million euros, with 3 foreign affiliates in New York, Singapore and London, and distribution in 95 countries).
The acquisition will also permit Castaldi to implement “a major project of renewal and revitalization of the company,” says Eng. Walter Camarda, the present CEO of Castaldi, who will continue to be involved in the project.
One of the main objectives is to double Castaldi’s sales over the next three years. “The growth strategy calls first of all for full exploitation of the synergies within the group –Citterio continues – along with major restyling of image and products, reinforcement and consolidation of position on international markets, and respect for the tradition and values of the company.”
