After its creation 10 years ago, Opera Contemporary shows its strength with a new strategic growth plan. A program of precise phases that draws its energy from years of success, challenges and projects, calling for an all-around operation of reinforcement and positioning on the market, backed by stylistic renewal.
Everything pivots on the decisive artistic direction of Studio Bestetti Associati, to identify the items and styles for different geographical markets, as well as the selection of designers capable of keeping pace with their evolution. “For Opera Contemporary we are constructing an original stylistic language capable of triggering dialogue between products and architecture – the studio says – an elegant, discreet way of living, enhanced by essential material details.” The company’s know-how in the crafting of wood is the strong point emphasized by the restyling of several collections.

The Cosmo sofa (designed by Castello Lagravinese) has been reinterpreted in the structure and materials, thanks to a solid wood band with a triangular section that ‘embraces’ the backrest on the outside, available in various finishes and enhanced by golden metal feet in the linear portion, and by fabric coverings that allow total personalization.

Taylor bookcase

The Taylor bookcase designed by DL Studio, for a distinctive total look and an expansion of the range of storage items, features a metal structure to welcome shelves in wood, marble and leather.

Stemmed from the mother company Angelo Cappellini as a contemporary alternative to the existing classic&luxury identity, the young brand has developed its own autonomy of design, becoming a stable presence on the market.

As ambitions and mission lead to an international structure, the strategy continues with a relaunch in terms of marketing and communication, with an important increment of investment in increasingly digital channels, from the website to the retail materials, with an eye on the opening of the first stores and a mono-brand flagship store by 2021. There are also important changes in the management, with Fabio Merli at the helm of the company, together with a new front line and a more compact, synergic sales network. The stylistic language and strategic approach fully convey the expertise and energy of a growing company.
