The ‘physical’ edition of Maison&Objet has been canceled. The Parisian fair will still take place from 4 to 18 September, but only in virtual form, thanks to the MOM (Maison&Objet and More) online platform and the fair’s website.
“Though there are encouraging signals that the pandemic is starting to diminish, we think there are still too many uncertainties regarding travel for exhibitors and international guests. Furthermore, the lack of clarity regarding large assemblies at the start of September in France played a role in influencing our decision to cancel the September edition of Maison&Objet, although 80% of the booths had already been reserved in April 2020,” says Philippe Brocart, CEO.
The digital version on the MOM platform will present showrooms with new products, while organizing digital talks, conversations and interviews with architects, interior designers, stylists, interior decorators, retailers and many other personalities.
Paris Design Week, on the other hand, has been confirmed, and takes place from 3 to 12 September. This is an important signal for the restart, kicking off the fall season for professionals in the fields of decorating, design and crafts in France.
The next face-to-face appointment with M&O is in January 2021, from the 22nd to the 26th, with the new sections like Work! and Projects, as well as the installation by the Designer of the Year Franklin Azzi.
