Many design companies are getting involved in the battle against the Coronavirus that is bringing our country to its knees. Lago is one of them, with a series of initiatives aimed at helping those in need – not only the company’s own employees.

Lago has decided to support the Veneto Region first of all, contributing to the fundraising campaign organized by Assindustria Treviso-Padova which in 48 hours has gathered over 800,000 euros. Lago will donate 50,000 euros for the purchase of three mechanical ventilators to be used in intensive care and reanimation units in Veneto hospitals.

“One week ago we closed the company to protect the health of all the workers – says Daniele Lago, CEO & Head of Design of LAGO SpA. – After seven days of lockdown the situation is still very grave, so we have decided to respond to the needs of the Veneto Region by donating 50,000 euros to purchase equipment that permits intensive care patients to breathe. In this moment, apart from our territory of belonging, we have to make exceptional efforts, staying home, united, to emerge from this situation stronger than before, with greater awareness.”

Furthermore, Lago has provided its employees with a specific insurance policy in case of infection by COVID-19 which calls for financial backing, coverage of transport costs, healthcare follow-ups and support for families and children.

The company helmed by Daniele Lago has thus taken concrete steps that make the individual and the community their central focus.
“We would like to thank LAGO for always being there when the Veneto community is in need – says Luca Zaia, President of the Veneto Region. – This is further aid we have received from this company, demonstrating that it is a firm that takes care of its territory and its people. It will be a useful contribution to activate reanimation units and to save lives.”
