The future of ceramics

Ceramiche Refin wagers on the young and promotes education through a series of initiatives in collaboration with the Universities of Bologna, Trento and Unimore

Activities of training and promotion of debate connected to the world of architecture and design have been a central focus of Ceramiche Refin for some time now. Among the initiatives, there are those organized in partnership with the Universities of Bologna, Trento and Unimore, with which the company founded in 1962 specialized in the production of ceramic tile and porcelain stoneware for the design of light commercial and advanced residential spaces has opened its doors to the new generations.

Ceramiche Refin has been selected as one of the most important Italian manufacturers of ceramic tiles, to welcome 27 students and graduates in engineering and sciences, economics and law, in the first “2nd-level Master of Business and Technology for Ceramics.” The initiative has been launched by Confindustria Ceramica and Federchimica Ceramicolor, together with the University of Bologna and Unimore (University of Modena – Reggio Emilia).
The title of the one-day training program assigned to Ceramiche Refin is Communication and Digital Marketing, starting with a lecture given by Silvia Grappi, professor of Marketing at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, followed by a visit to the company’s facilities.

The brand which since 1998 is part of Gruppo Concorde has taken part in the Career Boosting Program, a project organized by the University of Trento for about 370 students each year. Every two months, Ceramiche Refin offers students in the course on Technology of Materials taught by Prof. Stefano Rossi a chance to visit the company, for in-depth pursuit of their respective areas of study and research.
