Important new developments for Vibia. The Spanish firm opens a new headquarters at Gavà, a town a few minutes away from the center of Barcelona and the airport. The building has 16,000 m2 of floorspace, organized in various areas: from the showroom to the offices, to automated and robotic warehouse facilities.
The location is a gathering point for interaction, inspiration and collaboration between sector professionals, and the physical representation of the philosophy and history of this lighting brand. A visit to the Vibia universe starts at the reception area, which like the showroom has been created by Francesc Rifé Studio and stands out for a composition of lights to bring brightness and transparency, enhancing the architecture style of the facility.
The showroom displaying the Vibia lighting system has an area of 2050 m2. The various collections are presented through ‘small works of architecture,’ semi-open volumes featuring grates, translucent fabrics or curtains, alluding to the architectural and decorative impact of lighting. At the center of the space the Light your Way space makes it possible to add character to lighting fixtures on a technological and sensorial level.
The large terrace has been created by interior architect and designer Josep Lluís Xuclà as a space for presentation of Vibia lighting systems, to be used for outdoor events and meetings. The design of the offices and the production facility, in the same building, is by the studios Saus Riba Llonch (architecture) and Carlota Portavella (interior design), generating dynamic spaces for interaction, in an optimal organization of the working activities of a company operating in 103 countries around the world.
