A ‘Diva’ for all tastes

Gruppo Fontanot presents the new modular staircase designed by Michele Giacomelli. Diva will be the protagonist of the project for a penthouse in Miami

Spazio Arena Listone Giordano is the perfect setting in which to present Diva, the innovative, refined modular staircase from Gruppo Fontanot created by Michele Giacomelli. The new proposal of the brand with over 70 years of history has already met with interest and acclaim, so much so that Studio Metrogramma has decided to insert in a project inside one of Miami’s most fascinating skyscrapers.

Diva responds to different tastes and needs thanks to the possibility of shifting the adjustment mechanism of the lateral guards, thus inventing a new line. This versatility is also reflected in the color combinations and the range of materials, including glass, stainless steel and marble.
“A staircase without limits, glamorous or basic, depending on the situation – says Laura Fontanot, vice-president of the brand. – Diva catches the eye and produces multiple emotions and moods in an inexplicable, unpredictable way, something that cannot be precisely defined but nevertheless engages us, stimulating thoughts and design imagination.”

Fontanot’s objective was to make a modular staircase that would express the full identity of an item made to measure, while adapting to the various unexpected developments that may arise. Michele Giacomelli describes the result: “Diva has the performance of a staircase made to measure, a highly industrialized product with a strong design identity.”

The group is confident that Diva will be a success, and its characteristics make it well-suited to the most important markets for Fontanot. The model will be available in Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia.
North America represents a separate chapter, where it has already piqued the interest of Andrea Boschetti, founder of the architecture firm Metrogramma, who has decided to insert it in the new project for a luxurious penthouse in Miami.
“A reflecting, transparent ribbon, a staircase of light on the ocean, connecting the three upper levels of a luxurious residence at the top of the world.” This is what Boschetti was seeking, and he has found it in Diva.
