Dubai is a location that is taking on greater importance for Pedrali. The company specialized in the production of furnishings for the residential and contract sectors has been selected by the French multi-star chef Alain Ducasse for miX Dubai, his first restaurant in the Arab Emirates. But that’s not all: from 12 to 15 November, at D3, the brand will take part for the first time in Downtown Design.
Inside the very central Emerald Palace Kempinski, the venue is on three levels, to seat over 400 guests. The project is the result of a partnership between Ducasse and Manuel Clavel, of the architecture firm Clavel Arquitectos.
The distinctive feature of the miX Restaurant dining room is a gigantic golden egg that seems to float at the center of the room, extending into the dome of the hotel. At the miX bar and lounge guests can enjoy a drink with tapas, and a marvelous terrace overlooking the sea.
The restaurant is furnished with the Ester, Vic, Laja and Dream collections, which perfectly match the elegant, refined style of the venue. The Ester chairs and stools designed by Patrick Jouin, in beige leather, stand out for good looks, ergonomic and functional design, in the dining room and the lounge area. Patrick Norguet has created the Vic stools for Pedrali, with ample padded seats to ensure comfort. The Laja chairs are designed by Alessandro Busana and feature a steel structure with a seat formed by crossed elastic belting. The decor is completed with tables from the Dream collection.
At the same time, Pedrali makes its debut at Dubai Design Week by taking part in Downtown Design, the trade show held inside D3 (Dubai Design District).
The display space has been designed by the Milan-based studio Calvi Brambilla as a single volume open on two sides, with the air of a small gem. Inside, visitors can admire the Héra armchair with fluid lines in wood, designed by Patrick Jouin, and the Elinor table by Claudio Bellini, created for contemporary offices.
