London speaks Made in Italy. During the London Design Festival, Saatchi Gallery – from 19 to 22 September – hosts I-Made (Italian Manufacture Art and Design Exhibition), the exhibition of Italian design excellence. The project curated by Giulio Cappellini sets out to narrate the unique creativity and quality of our furnishings through a selection of the most representative brands.

Among the many names, Alias takes part with an ethereal installation invented by Andrea Sanguineti, brand manager and design director: a cloud of chairs magically floating in space, supported by carbon threads.

Then there’s Moroso, showing the new Gogan sofa by Patricia Urquiola and the most famous seats in the installation on chairs Take a seat by Giulio Cappellini. Porro celebrates over 90 years of experience and 30 years under the art direction of Piero Lissoni with a selection of the finest products: to mention just one, the Metallico table in the antique red color, with a surface displaying lights and shadows as in an oil painting.

A leap into the outdoors is provided by the new items from Ethimo, like the Rafael collection designed by Paola Navone. Emu brings a reissue tribute to Rio, the chair from the 1970s that has become the symbol of the brand.
