A fascinating panorama in a particularly attractive place. This is what is offered by the luxury resort Healing Stay Kosmos, located in the rugged mountain landscape of the South Korean island of Ulleungdo. The architect Changjoong Kim of The System Lab decided to create a mixture of design, technology and nature, in both architectural and decor terms.
For the outdoor areas two bestsellers were chosen from Kettal, the Spanish company specialized in the production of outdoor furniture. The Stampa chair designed by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec is made in aluminium, and transmits a sense of lightness.
It is the result of various production phases: the injection-molded ring connects the stamped seat to the back and the hydroformed legs, reinforcing the whole structure. The delicate forms come from the technique of punching sheet metal, spreading carefully positioned holes across the shell.
The Park Life collection immediately caught the eye of the world of design as the first outdoor series created by British designer Jasper Morrison. In particular, the cot has been selected for the outdoor areas of the South Korean resort. Like the other items in the Park Life range, this model stands out for its technical refinement and ergonomic lines, as well as its resistance to weathering, a fundamental characteristic for outdoor products. The materials are Chenilletex fabric, aluminium acrylic fabric and Porotex.
