An interesting partnership in the furniture industry. Vescom, a producer of wallcoverings and fabrics for the contract furnishings sector, has been chosen to clad furnishings by Moroso, including the Armada seats and the Heartbreaker sofa.
“The 100% mohair fabric on a cotton base has a robust structure, appealing to see and to touch, and adapts very well to simple and more organic forms, or forms that are hard to cover – they say at Moroso. – We were also convinced by the outstanding range of colors for Vescom Zanzibar, in tune with our recent proposals for the Salone del Mobile.”
The Zanzibar mohair fabric in the caramel tone brings out the personality of the two-seat settee from the Armada collection, designed by the creative duo of Nipa Doshi and Jonathan Levien. The seat, created for work zones and lounge areas, stands out for the combination of slim padded sides and voluminous soft cushions.
Heartbreaker, for the contract market, has been covered in a shade of powder blue. The sofa designed by Johannes Torpe gets its inspiration (also in the name) from the form of a heart, reprised in the design of the armrest that represents half a heart, i.e. a broken one, to be reassembled in combinations of side-by-side units. The base features a metal section that brings lightness in spite of the impressive overall image.
