Yesterday, on Tuesday 4 June, was the opening day of Volti di design al SaloneSatellite, a project that brings together students of the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia and the Photography and Video Program of Accademia Teatro alla Scala and designers under 35 who took part in the SaloneSatellite.
The event is part of the 14th edition of Photofestival 2019, the Milanese photography program organized by AIF – Associazione Italiana Foto & Digital Imaging, in coordination with the third edition of Milano Photo Week. The exhibition will be on view from 3 to 30 June at Centro Culturale di Milano (Largo Corsia dei Servi 4) and contains a series of stills and videos made during SaloneSatellite 2019, focusing on emerging designers.
Marva Griffin Wilshire, founder and coordinator of the SaloneSatellite, was on hand for the opening, and comments: “Faces of Design at the SaloneSatellite is an initiative to support and bring together the creative potentialities of the new generations. An encounter in which young people photograph other young talents: I wish them all the best of luck for the future.”
The survey sets out to capture the atmosphere, activities and events of the annual SaloneSatellite, and the experiences of the young designers, often seen together with their creations.
