Matter becomes poetry

The 2019 did not see EuroCucina as protagonist at the Salone del Mobile. Companies, however, have carved out a leading role at the FuoriSalone, presenting heterogeneous products characterized by precious finishes and materials

The FuoriSalone, during Design Week in Milan, is always a moment packed with premieres and appointments in various locations and showrooms, spreading across the whole city. This year, more than ever before, saw many initiatives organized by the most important kitchen manufacturers.

Though not on hand at the fair, kitchens were a lively presence; the many flagship stores located in the various urban districts – from Brera to San Babila, all the way to the Tortona zone – opened their doors to visitors, offering a wide range of original solutions and restyling projects. Often accompanied by cooking demonstrations or thematic events, the presentations of new developments in the sector were surprising for the high quality of the solutions, embodied by precious finishes and materials like brass, bronze, coated aluminium and metallized surfaces.
From the ‘exotic’ palm wood utilized by Dada, the smoked eucalyptus of Key Cucine or the Japanese Nora wood deployed by Sanwa Company, to ‘primitive’ and exclusive materials like the Calacatta Oro marble offered by Ernestomeda, and other natural stones of domestic origin, like the Carrara marble chosen by Arclinea.
Pale thermo-treated wood was even joined by natural silk enclosed between panes of glass in the remarkable latest model by Minotticucine.

Here’s an overview of the new offerings.
