Premio Deloitte: awards for 46 companies

The splendid setting of Palazzo Mezzanotte hosted the ceremony for the Best Managed Companies awards. Winners included Poliform, Calligaris, Italian Design Brands and Tecno

Yesterday, on Tuesday 28 May, at the headquarters of Borsa Italiana Palazzo Mezzanotte, the second edition of the Best Managed Companies awards put the spotlight on Italian companies that embody excellence in terms of organization, strategy and performance. The initiative is organized by Deloitte in collaboration with Altis Università Cattolica, Elite and Confindustria.

The winning companies survived an initial phase of selection that removed candidates not considered in line with the competition requirements, and then moved on to a second step based on a self-assessment survey and a free check-up conducted by the experts of Deloitte to assess the methodological pillars involved in the initiative.
Outstanding personalities from the worlds of education, business and institutions in Italy formed an independent jury that identified the best companies in terms of these six strategic pillars: Strategy, Expertise and Innovation, Corporate Social Responsibility, Corporate Culture and Commitment, Governance and Performance Assessment, Internationalization.

The awards went to 46 companies (31 last year) belonging to different industries, from Food & Beverage to Computer Engineering, as well as the nautical sector. The world of furnishings was widely represented by successful firms like the Friuli-based Calligaris; Giorgetti, Italian Design Brands, Nemo Lighting, Poliform, Nemo and Tecno from Lombardy; and the Piedmont-based company Gessi.

And there’s more. The participants, whether or not they have won any prizes, benefit from the opportunities for networking and greater visibility, through the acceleration programs developed by Elite and Deloitte. The Best Managed Companies initiative is not only about awards, but also represents a chance to develop a growth program for the companies involved.
