It has already been 30 years since 1989, the year that Devon&Devon was founded. To celebrate this important milestone, the company (specialised in designer products) has created Aurora30 and Morris30: limited edition products chosen to represent the values and history of the brand, as well as it’s unique style which seeks to take the best of tradition and apply it to great modern classics.
The common feature of Aurora and Morris is Portoro marble, a material mined from a small number of quarries located near Portovenere. It is an extremely high quality black marble already used in the construction of Imperial Roman villas and Noble Genoese palaces, as well as Baroque churches and French castles.
The Aurora30 bathtub, which rests on a black Portoro marble base, stands out for its elegance and sophistication while maintaining the reduced size of the original. The body of the tub, however, is different: made from polished black White Tec resin its external surface is clad in an extremely thin aluminium leaf with a platinum finish, applied by hand and protected by a transparent matte varnish.
The diverter and handle of the small shower head enhanced with Portoro marble are the distinguishing features of the faucet (concept and design by the Devon&Devon Style Office), part of the bathtub group. A true example of high quality raw materials in service to an artisan craftsmanship that meets all expectations.
30 unique and numbered pieces of both Aurora30 and Morris30 have been produced.
